Social PETworking.

Adopt-a-Pet.com, aiming to take advantage of online social networking (ie; Twitter, Myspace, Facebook) launched a “Social PETworking” campaign on May 29 to provide more opportunities for people to advertise adoptable pets. Kicking off the campaign, Adopt-a-Pet.com has declared June “Social Petworking Month” and has a lofty goal of networking at least 30,000 homeless pets in the first 30 days. Adopt-a-Pet.com is also giving away a year’s supply of Purina One pet food to one campaign participant. Help them achieve their goal--start the "petworking" here and now and share this article with your friends.
HOW IT WORKS: Go to Adopt-a-Pet.com and search for a pet being housed in a local shelter. Click on the “share” tool on the pet’s Web page, and you can add the pet’s photo and information to your social networking page or email. That is, click and share to your MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, or email to friends.
Nice to see the technology catching up with those of us who have been "PETworking" online for years (too many years). Now if only technology comes up with a way to have all pets come out of the womb spayed and neutered, and, can put an end to puppy mills.
